Overview

The Haramosh Valley, an hour from Gilgit, is one of the least visited corners of Gilgit-Baltistan. A jeep track leaves the Skardu road at Sassi and climbs to Dassu, from where the trail leads through Iskere village to the meadows and turquoise water of Kutwal Lake. The lake sits below Haramosh (7,409 m) and the Mani Glacier, and a day at the lake lets you walk to the glacier viewpoints. It is a short, gentle trek suited to families and first-time trekkers.
