Payments & cancellations

How booking works

• Send us an enquiry with your dates, group size and the tour you like. No payment is taken on the website.
• We reply within 12 hours with a written quote and itinerary for your exact dates.
• Pay a 25% deposit to confirm. We then book your hotels, domestic flights and permits.
• Pay the balance up to 30 days before arrival, or in cash (US dollars or rupees) when we meet you in Islamabad.

Prices

Prices are shown in Pakistani rupees with the US dollar equivalent underneath, per person, based on two travellers sharing a room on a private tour. Larger groups pay less per person; solo travellers and single rooms cost more. Your written quote shows the exact price for your group, and that price does not change once your deposit is paid.

Rupee prices of dollar-priced tours use our current exchange rate. The rate on the day you book is fixed for that booking.

Ways to pay

Bank details are sent with your written quote. We confirm every payment by email the day it arrives.

• International bank transfer (SWIFT) to our company bank account in Pakistan
• Wise: send US dollars, euros or pounds from your Wise account or app to our bank account, usually at a lower fee than a bank transfer
• Cash on arrival for the balance, in US dollars or Pakistani rupees

Cancellation and refunds

If you need to cancel, tell us in writing by email. Charges depend on how many days before your arrival date we receive your message:

• More than 60 days before arrival: full refund of everything you paid, minus bank transfer fees
• 30 to 60 days before arrival: we keep the 25% deposit and refund the rest
• 15 to 29 days before arrival: 50% of the tour price is charged
• Less than 15 days before arrival, or no-show: no refund

Changing your dates

You can move your tour to new dates once, free of charge, if you tell us more than 30 days before arrival. Any difference in hotel or flight prices for the new dates is added to or taken off your price.

If we have to change or cancel

Weather, landslides and cancelled mountain flights sometimes force changes to the route. When this happens we re-plan the trip to keep as much of it as possible, at no extra cost for transport we arrange.

If we cancel your tour before it starts for any reason, including a security warning or natural disaster on your route, you choose between a full refund and new dates at no extra cost.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance covering cancellation, medical care and evacuation in Pakistan is required. We recommend buying it as soon as you pay your deposit, so you are covered if you have to cancel.
